Starck was inspired by the world of motorcycles, he also believes to infuse certain codes with that of EAPC in the design. EAPC helmet requires ergonomics that resemble motorcycle, a 45km/h EACP approved helmet has to have a full visor in order to protect rider from cold or other various projectiles.

Giro is one of leaders in cycling head protection manufacturer, they teamed up with Starck to develop the next evolution in head protection. This new concept helmets feature a cork liner which offers great impact energy management and is harvested sustainably in Portugal without harming the trees. As you know, cork is naturally water-resistant, it offers anti-microbial properties as well. The shell of this helmet is constructed with lightweight aluminum which can easily be recycled at the end of this helmet’s lifespan.
