abandoned-playgrounds: The Tent of Tomorrow was designed by...

abandoned-playgrounds:

The Tent of Tomorrow was designed by architect Philip Johnson and is elliptical in shape. Its concrete piers once supported the largest cable suspension roof in the world. Originally the concrete floor of the Tent was a large scale Texaco map of the State of New York. After the red ceiling tiles were removed in the late 1970′s the floor has undergone years of elemental abuse.

Instant Pot Peach Cobbler

Peach Cobbler from the Instant Pot is a hit. The best Instant Pot Peach Cobbler Recipe you will ever need! Minimal ingredients, bold flavor, and it comes together quickly! Make this easy, delicious cobbler with me!

Peach cobbler is a stable recipe this time of year! No dutch oven required, make this recipe in my favorite kitchen appliance, the Instant Pot! You can use fresh or canned peaches, which makes this recipe available to make year round!

I've said it before and I will say it again, I love my Instant Pot! It's my favorite kitchen appliance because it is so versatile! I can make anything from hard boiled eggs, to mashed potatoes, to soups and chilis, to a complete meal! It you haven't jumped on the Instant Pot train yet, it's time! ALL ABOARD! Shop the 6 and 8 quart Instant Pots through the links below!

This recipe is super quick and easy to follow! You will need to use the Pot in Pot method to cook this cobbler. This means you will need an oven safe dish that will fit inside of your Instant Pot! We will add the ingredients to the inner pot, and place it in the Instant Pot on the trivet (that comes with the pot when you buy it) with a cup of water. Similar to the water bath technique in the oven, this will allow steam to create the pressure and cook the cobbler. We put tin foil over the dish to avoid any drops of water getting in the cobbler.

Instant Pot Peach Cobbler
Yields 6 servings

1 box white cake mix
2 cups fresh or canned peaches
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 cup water
*Vanilla ice cream optional

(For this recipe, you will need to use pot in pot with a cup of water in the bottom and the pot on a trivet. This will allow steam to create the pressure for it to cook.)

In a mixing bowl, add cake mix and cinnamon. Mix.

Pour in melted butter and stir to mix well. The mixture will be stiff and hard to mix.

Add peaches to an oven safe dish that will fit inside your Instant Pot. If using fresh peaches, stir in a couple tablespoons of granulated sugar.

Sprinkle cake mix onto the peaches.

Cover the cobbler with tin foil and set it in the Instant Pot on the trivet. Add 1 cup water to the bottom of the pot. Lock the lid, set the valve to seal and manually set the pressure for 20 minutes.

When the cooking time is up, allow the Instant Pot to naturally release on low pressure for 5 minutes. Quick release the remaining pressure and carefully remove the cobbler.

*Optional Step: If you are wanting a brown, crisp crust, place the finished cobbler in your oven on broil for 1-2 minutes, just until browned.

Spoon onto plates and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Instant Pot Beef Stroganoff

The best Instant Pot Beef Stroganoff! Your favorite easy dinner just got even easier thanks to my favorite kitchen appliance! This meal is hearty, quick, and simple to make! It's one of those meals that is always in the dinner rotation at my house! Make it with me!

For this recipe, you can use a couple different options of meat! You can use ground beef, ground turkey, or ground chicken! You can also use thinly sliced beef sirloin, which is my favorite! I buy a case of Philly's Best Beef Steaks at Costco in the freezer section and they are awesome! You get 40, 4 ounce patties that are portioned and thinly sliced. This is the box you're looking for!

ALL ABOARD! Instant Pot Beef Stroganoff
Yields 6-8 servings

2 tablespoons butter
1/2 white onion, chopped
2 pounds beef sirloin, ground beef, or ground turkey
1 pound sliced mushrooms
2 cups beef broth
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup sour cream

Set the Instant Pot to sauté, and add the butter and onion. Sauté the onions until they are cooked down.

Add the meat to the pot and cook until browned. (Rinse meat if needed and return to Pot).

Stir in the mushrooms.

Next, add the beef broth, salt, dried basil, cayenne pepper, and black pepper.

Turn the Instant Pot to off, put the lid on the pot and set the valve to seal. Manually set the timer for 10 minutes. The Instant Pot will take 10 minutes to come to pressure before the timer starts to count down. When the time runs out and the chime sounds, quick release the remaining pressure.

Remove the lid and stir in the milk and sour cream. Serve hot over egg noodles, rice, or cauliflower rice. I often serve stroganoff with a side or peas or broccoli.
