The Tent of Tomorrow was designed by architect Philip Johnson and is elliptical in shape. Its concrete piers once supported the largest cable suspension roof in the world. Originally the concrete floor of the Tent was a large scale Texaco map of the State of New York. After the red ceiling tiles were removed in the late 1970′s the floor has undergone years of elemental abuse.
