Photography by Paul Brouns

After graduation in 1990 at the Art Academy, Paul Brouns (1967) started exhibiting paintings but also was one of the first artists to employ computer electronics as a tool to create art. Gradually he became more involved with graphic design in the early 2000s. Inspired by the new possibilities in digital photography, in recent years he has concentrated mainly on this new medium.

The buildings I look at, reveal themselves to me, not as mere places to live. I am fascinated by the abstract qualities of architecture, of which I testify by capturing and creating, what I call Urban Tapestries.
