Diayla Muir: Hand Drawn Animation Loops
Dialaya Muir grew up in Cyprus but is Scottish-Palestinian by blood. She moved to London to do a Bachelors in Illustration, and then went straight on to do a Masters in Animation at the Royal College of Art. She still lives in London and is currently a freelance animation director / part-time nanny. Her funky, colorful, hand drawn animation style is a throwback to Sally Cruikshank and Kathy Rose from the 1970s, She has recently created a short film called Blue Hands that has been selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick.
