Valentines Layered Delight

Have you been searching for the perfect treat to make for Valentines Day? I 10/10 recommend this Valentines Layered Delight! It's so creamy, sweet, and delicious! It's made with strawberry cheesecake filling, cheeseman cookies, and strawberry danish dessert! It's seriously heavenly. Fall in love with this amazing layered dessert. Make it with me!

The inspiration for this recipe actually came from the back of the danish dessert box. I wanted to make a layered no-bake dessert, and was trying to decide what I wanted to make it with. I saw this in the pantry and thought that this classic danish needed a modern twist. I started playing with flavors and textures, and came up with this Valentines Layered Delight!

This recipe is made using my favorite chessman cookies from Pepperidge Farm. These cookies are so light and flaky, and they have a delicious buttery flavor. I love using these cookies in my desserts because they bring a unique element to my recipes!

Strawberries and Valentine's Day go together like peanut butter and jelly. You can't have a Valentine's Day dessert without delicious, juicy strawberries. This time of year, it's hard to find really good strawberries. I suggest buying the organic strawberries at Costco! I don't usually recommend buying organic, but in this case, if you want a juicy plump strawberry in February, buy the organic ones from Costco! You'll thank me later.

To make this no-bake dessert really stand up a hold it's shape when sliced, I recommend making your own stabilized whipping cream. If you take the extra step to make your own whipping cream and add a packet of unflavored gelatin, it will make your whipping cream extra thick and have a consistency more like ice cream. Valentines Layered Delight
Yields 8 servings

1 3/4 cup cold water
1 strawberry danish dessert packet
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups whipping cream
2 bags of chessman cookies
1 dozen strawberries, sliced

  1. In a medium saucepan, stir danish dessert packet into cold water. Bring to a full boil, and boil for one minute. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  2. While that is cooling, in a mixing bowl, cream together cream cheese and sugar. Beat until smooth. Gently fold in 1 cup of the whipping cream. Finally, fold in two tablespoons of the prepared danish dessert.
  3. Next, begin to assemble the layered dessert in a heart shaped or 9x9 baking dish.
  4. Place a layer of chessman cookies.
  5. Spread a thin layer of the strawberry cream cheese over the cookies.
  6. Place a layer of strawberries over the cream cheese.
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 until you reach the top of your baking dish, leaving about a half inch from the top open.
  8. Spread the remaining 1 cup of whipping cream on top.
  9. Finish by spreading the prepared danish over top of the whipping cream.
  10. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours-overnight.
  11. Serve with whipping cream.
