Helicopter Glamping in Scotland

Mains Farm Wigwams, a picturesque camping site near the New Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, offers glamping accommodation in a retired Royal Navy Sea King helicopter, complete with chic sleeping quarters, cockpit lounge, and sweeping vistas of the Stirling countryside.

While retaining some of its original features – including dashboard, foot pedals, and roof panel switches, the aircraft has been refitted to provide overnight stays for a family of five. Interiors are clad in white painted wood paneling and appointed with stylish decor mixing new and repurposed furnishings.

A shower room and a small stainless steel kitchenette occupy the former sonar station; the tail houses a single bed; and the cockpit, offering stunning panoramic views over the Carse of Stirling, doubles as lounge and dining area.

Mains Farm’s newest addition is now open for booking, with prices starting at £150 per night for two adults.
