A three-dimensional collection of vertices, edges, and faces...

A three-dimensional collection of vertices, edges, and faces create a dynamic polygonal show in ‘Complex Meshes’, an installation by Miguel Chevalier for Art Brussels 2016. numerous wire-frame meshes overlap and evolve, transforming continuously in a colorful weaving pattern that changes in real time. these vivid grids disrupt perception, as well as highlight the loft location’s architecture through light.

“Transition” ( Top ) from Descants & Cadences by Stephanie...

“Transition” ( Top ) from Descants & Cadences by Stephanie Law

Art has always been about the exploration of other worlds to me.  It is a medium to view the world with a different perspective and to find elements of beauty in what seems ordinary. I want to transport myself, and my audience into a mirror existence.

That’s what “Descants & Cadences” is — I want this book to be a window to invite you in to participate with my visions. For the artwork in this collection I’ve been feeling along the boundary between dream and reality. I’ve delved into the language of allegory that we’re all exposed to from the very first nursery rhyme that we hear as a child, and rediscover when we read to our own children. I’ve sought after tiny worlds of wonder from an insect’s viewpoint. I love to get lost in the incredible beauty of growth and decay that you find in nature.

Snoped : A Snowmobile with Cafe Bike Race Posture by Joey Ruiter

Snoped is a lightweight vehicle that allows you to cruise on snow in style. You can experience winter travel on a whole new level. The design combines a snowmobile style with café bike race posture, the lightweight chassis features exposed screws to give more rugged appearance.

Measuring 76” long and 6” wide, this vehicle is definitely slimmer than standard snowmobile. Inside that slim body, there’s a 90cc motor engine that is powerful enough to slide in the snow. The designer said that this vehicle was inspired by his favorite winter apparel brands, café motorcycles, just basically everything around him, Snoped would take you to your destination in style. Unfortunately, there’s no price or future plan to bring this vehicle commercially available.
