Pininfarina has expressed its mastery in a sporty and futuristic style that combines beauty with extreme performance. Modern form that is free of any stylistic affectation. It’s no longer form follows function, form and function are merged together in this concept to create external design that boasts vehicle’s sportiness and performance in every detail. Those sleek lines and volumes create a sculpture that is powerful as well as intriguing. The design team of H2 Speed was challenged to design a car on a carbon frame and on mechanical layout of a high performance car with extreme proportions while housing GreenGT full power hydrogen system.

From above, H2 Speed features intriguing geometric composition, it looks like two triangular bodies intersect to create front and rear mudguards. This design seems like based on a symmetrical drawing. Take a look at the crests of mudguards, they don’t follow wing volume, they enter and exit the body, creating sensuality and originality to the handling of the surfaces. The side panel allows for generous air passage from front to the side, creating efficient aerodynamic flow. The color choice was inspired by the Sigma Grand Prix, giving modern interpretation thanks to pearlescent shade of white.

Stiff Pose Victorian Postmortem photography (140 Pics)

Postmortem photography or memento mori, the photographing of a deceased person, was a common practice in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The photographs were considered a keepsake to remember the dead. Child mortality was high during the Victorian era. For many children even a common sickness could be fatal. When a child or other family member died, families would often have a photograph taken before burial. Many times it was the first and last photograph they would ever possess of their loved one. Many postmortem photographs were close-ups of the face or shots of the full body. The deceased were usually depicted to appear as if they were in a deep sleep, or else arranged to appear more life-like. Children were often shown on a couch or in a crib, often posed with a favorite toy. It was not uncommon to photograph very young children with a family member, most frequently the mother. Adults were more commonly posed in chairs or even propped up on something.
