Christopher Mangan, (born 1989 in Washington, D.C) received his Bachelors of Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University in 2011 where he was recognized for artistic talent and academic excellence through the Andrew Carnegie Scholarship.
From a distance a detail may look like a seamless color field, yet, up close it transforms into a moving swirl of hues. Paintings viewed from the side often reveal textures hidden head-on. Subjects that may appear dull through photography can be revived through the creative interpretation of a painting. It is in these deliberate decisions that I offer a unique take on my subjects.
