Tik Ka: Asian Reappropriation
Tik Ka (迪嘉) is a Chinese painter & illustrator from Hong Kong who likes to create East meets West pop art fusion illustrations. With issues of Asian representation & appropriation emphasized by the controversial casting of Scarlett Johansson as the lead in the Hollywood live action remake of Ghost in the Shell, I thought I’d post these fun illustrations by Tik Ka, who reimagines symbols of Western pop culture as Chinese icons. ● Facebook | Twitter
