Scribbled Faces by Hom Nguyen
Vietnamese artist Hom Nguyen was born in Paris in 1972. His self-taught style is instinctive & uninhibited. Working in charcoal, felt gouache, oil & pen, each painting appears as a fight, a melee with the material from which arises a desire: to reveal the depths of the human being through the lines & color. Most of Hom’s work revolves around the creation of monumental portraits. The choice of colors, the application of the material or the vivacity of gesture are always in order to show the world his vision of the human being beyond appearances.
