Volkswagen T-Cross Breeze Convertible SUV with Futuristic Cockpit

Volkswagen T-Cross Breeze is the first open-top SUV in its class, this concept car will be revealed at the 86th Geneva Motor Show. This car would be an affordable cabriolet with a raised seating position for a perfect view of its surroundings. Underlining Volkswagen attempts to make mobility is more about experience than before, this concept car has been designed for everyday use, the affordable price makes it a genuine people’s car.

Equipped with an 81 kW/110 PS 1.0 liter TSI turbocharged and direct-injection gasoline engine, this car offers a glimpse at a new model series. T-Cross Breeze is a teaser, a model that you can expect for compact sport utility vehicle from Volkswagen, it reflects a new start for the brand, completely with redesigned cockpit that is crisp and expressive.

This time, it’s not an electric car, but the fuel consumption and CO2 values are pretty excellent: 5.0 l/100km (47 mpg) and 115 g/km, hopefully VW doesn’t lie again. In combination with 10.6-gallon fuel tank, basically, this car can have a range of 497 miles, it means that you can drive from Geneva to Cannes on a single tank of fuel. Featuring 4,133mm (162.7 in) length, it’s just slightly longer than a CrossPolo, with a long wheelbase of 2,565mm, resulting in short body overhangs for nice sporty proportions.

At first glance, you can instantly recognize that this car is a Volkswagen, even when you don’t see the logo. The company ensures that T-Cross Breeze is infused with VW design DNA. The front part features a wide radiator grille and narrow headlights, the LED daytime is combined with delicate arcs of light under the LED headlights and there are large LED rings around the foglights. The side profile is pretty distinctive, the 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels feature a spiral design with star shaped plastic clasps. The rear end features wide trunklid with integrated LED taillights, when opened, it reveals a trunk with a volume of almost 10.6 cubic feet.

The interior features an ergonomic concept where almost no buttons on the board. Almost all controls on this car are touch-sensitive surfaces, including gesture control to operate. The company believes, this is the cockpit of the future.
