Submitted by Soroush Vahidian, Spray the Cup is a concept project that aims to reduce plastic waste. Plastic cups are frequently used beside water dispensers in public places, so a large amount of used cups would remain that used only once and must be collected for recycling which would be costly. This design aims to make cups reusable and decrease the amount of cup consumption by spraying a micron layer on each cup by new user who wants to pick a used cup. By pushing the spray button a Nano-coating liquid would be sprayed on cup surface to prevent possible septic of past users be transmitted to the next one. This spray coats both inside and outside of the cups, and a Nano layer with thickness of 10 microns (5 microns inside and 5 microns outside) will be formed on cups each time before use. This method can save up to 15 times more cup.
