The Grand Vision of  Tomás Saraceno Originally from Argentina...

The Grand Vision of  Tomás Saraceno

Originally from Argentina Tomás Saraceno doesn’t define himself as an architect or an artist.

I felt that talking about architecture in artistic environments was more comfortable for me, and this guided me in my choices.

I’m not interested in what’s the difference between architecture and art, or other disciplines, but what their common ground is, what brings them together. (via Smart Magazine)

Tomás creates large works full of grand vision.  Works that plant the seeds for future cities like his work Poetic Cosmos of Breath that works on the idea of floating cities, or Aerocene where he is working on sustainable space travel. His works contain things like architectural nets and fantastic kites. You can see more of Tomás Saraceno’s work on his Facebook Page.
