Inspired by children playing with hand-made recycled materials, Ljiljana Reljic and Snezana Cvetkovic came up with the idea to create Smart Board. The product is handmade by recycling different kinds of packaging, creating an eco board with a didactic tool for fun and way for children to acquire knowledge and skills with ecological terminology. This project aims to create a stimulating environment for children, giving them ideas how packaging can be reused in a creative way. Those motives on the boards have been made of different materials and textures that stimulate sensory development, the overall design motivates children to play together.
The base of the board is cardboard coated with protective transparent oil, while the motifs are made of wood, different kind of fabric, iron, plastic caps, buttons, leather, wool, pebbles, zippers, laces, and sandpaper.
