The Creatively Coded Designs of Patrik Hübner
Patrik Hübner is a 32 year old full-time creative director from Paderborn, Germany. For the past 15 years, he has had the privilege of working on thousands of creative projects. It wasn’t until the end of 2014 – after some rather unpleasant changes in his personal life - that he found generative art and Processing. He started coding at around age 12. When he discovered visual generative algorithms and Processing, his prior knowledge became quite handy as he could almost instantly start exploring the numerous playgrounds of this new way of coding for him had to offer. He has explored dozens of possible areas of use for this and has been constantly working on projects for both the pure joy of learning as well as public and commercial applications. The animated GIF part of his exploration was born in the summer of 2015 when he spent a week with two friends in a wooden block house with no internet connections or other outside influences. This was for a project they called “Coding In the Woods“.
