Take a Trip Around the World Through Sunsets
Tumblr blog SunsetViews is the brainchild of Singaporean graphic designer (and gradient enthusiast) Amanda Leung. Inspired by long hours spent working away at an office computer, Amanda set up SV as a way to preserve and cherish the gradient infused sunsets she so often missed.
This project was inspired when I was working overtime in the office one day and saw how the sun turned the entire sky into a beautiful yellow orange gradient which I was in clear view of. I started playing around and recreated the gradient of the sky in Illustrator. When I was done, that very same gradient has changed and was gone. I wondered, how can something so beautiful be gone in such a short period of time.
I didn’t have enough time to enjoy or share it so I decided to collect and document sunsets of different time, days and locations on my own. People started sending me their sunsets from all around the world and I was amazed at the different breathtaking views and colours just one simple element like The Sun could create.
