Thomas “Detour” Evans is a Colorado based artist born in 1984. He is pushing the boundries of traditional portrait painting, not because of the urban focused subject matter, but because of his non-traditional canvases, such as painting on vinyl & CDs & some works which have interactive touch zones emitting music. Detour has an entirely fresh approach to being a professional artist, from utilizing technology which encourages his viewers to literally connect with his paintings, to the ways he promotes, displays & sells his work.
