Animal Sculpture by Anna-Wili Highfield
Anna-Wili Highfield took her experience as a set designer for Opera Australia and began creating magnificent paper animal sculptures. Far from being replicas of animals, her sculptures are light and airy, seeming to barely hang together. Often they suggest the form of the of the animal, and yet when you stand back the pieces of paper coalesce like magic into the essence of a wolf, an owl, or even a Pegasus.
