We have to play; we have to be amused—they distract us, make us happy, teach us, bond us together: games. We’ve always played them—we always will. We have to; a human thing. Animals play too—and Earthling thing. Harkening back to childhood, Louise Leong’s simple games look fun; her backboards with dark, thick lines filling out smiling character design are magnetic, and her clever, poppy word balloons resonate slickly. The objects as a whole say a lot about us—treatises that don’t waste time talking, rather ones you can play. Fantastic.
