The thing about triggers is they are different for everybody. As someone who suffers from panic disorder, where panic attacks can happen, unprovoked, anytime, my triggers are irrational and connected to things I associate with the attacks themselves. Everyone has a different history, a personal foundation upon which our fears and desires are built. Some things, yes, are universally considered horrific & should have warnings. But to expose ourselves to life is to risk running into our triggers.
