Photos of Clinton’s pets and their life in The White House (25 Pics)

You surely know that feeling, when you get sick being a human and you look at the peaceful face of your dog or cat and you feel the plain jealousy. Well, the intensity of that feeling will double when you are going to see the life of the First Family Pets.

Being a pet in a White House surely is not a bad life, right? –  The President Clinton was very well known about his affection towards animals and it was a well known fact that the president grew up with dogs. The Clintons’ decided to expand their family when  Chelsea was preparing to leave for college.

Socks-The Cat
The White House cat was once a homeless, until Chelsea found him in front of her Piano Teacher’s house. Socks followed Chelsea to her home in the Arkansas governor’s mansion, and then became a resident in The presidential White House.

Before even became a Presidential cat, Socks got all the media buzz a cat can get. At one point, before Clinton was elected as president in 1993 he had to tell the press to leave the cat alone. We can imagine, how tough it has been to be a popular cat, right or should we say meow?

Socks were with the Clinton’s until the last day in the white house. At the end of the President’s second term in 2001, a rough decision was made. Socks and Buddy just didn’t get along, Chelsea was off to college and Socks has already picked her favorite from the White House,  the president’s secretary, Betty Curie. So, Socks found a new home.

It was not a secret that Socks didn’t like Buddy at all. Since his arriving, Socks attacked  Buddy on the back, from that point Buddy and Socks had to be in a separate part of the White House.

At the end of the second term, Buddy followed the Clinton’s in their new bought residence in Chappaqua. However, the destiny of Buddy was more unfortunate than Socks. One day, when The Clinton’s were out of the house, he ran away and was  hit and killed by a teen driver in SUV.
