Joe Winograd’s “Décollage” series is a collection of looping stop-motion animations (in the form of GIF files) that stem from his explorations into handmade digital art. Reworking stacked layers of digital geometric patterns with traditional paper manipulation processes such as marbling and collage, Winograd’s psychedelic creations break away from the sleekness of computer rendering to amplify the rugged physicality of human intervention.
