Pranali Linge has submitted her project that helps Indian railway porters to work more comfortable, you can read her description about this project below.
Design should be implemented for improvement in society. A good product design has the ability to bring a change in our life for comfort and better life. Myself (Pranali Linge) and my colleague (Uttara Ghodke) has made an attempt in this project to tackle a very serious issue of Indian railway porters. The product is an aid to alleviate the common health issues such as neck problems, baldness etc. encountered during performance of there job by Indian railway porters. After understanding the scenario of adaptability for a new product by porters the solution was divided into precautions and aids. The product is design to shift the weight of luggage from head and neck to shoulders and back.
