Leaf Pleasure Boat Was Inspired by The Anatomy of Leaves

Leaf Pleasure Boat as its name suggests, this project was inspired by nature, the anatomy of leaves to be precise. The image of drifting leaf becomes the guide for this boat design, the lightness, color, transparency, and organic structure are the main source of inspiration. This team experimented in models and materials (leaves, wood, cardboard) to create different buoyancy effects. You can see that the transparent boat hull displays bio-inspired skeleton that looks like the boat’s veins, just like you can see on leaves.

This simple boat is meant to be the next boat generation. It features innovative design, high performance, and utilize renewable energy. The compact size makes it pretty ideal boat for an adventurous boat trip with friends and family. It is equipped with solar textile over the starboard to generate energy for the engine, user can steer this boat through an i-Pad.
