Gemini 60m Yacht by Pannone Architetetti

Gemini 60m Yacht features elegant form and harmonic proportion between parties. It was started as pencil sketches on a sheet of paper then in months, it has turned out to be beautiful and elegant yacht with great attention to details.

For me as an Italian architect, the Mediterranean Sea has always been the center of the world and a primary source of inspiration for new solutions designed to tackle better and better navigation. The development of emerging countries and thus the increase of new sea routes do not fundamentally alter my vision, centered on the concept that the Mare Nostrum will always be the umbilicus of the vital culture of design and build boats.

I believe my thinking is parallel to the architectural discipline that I have given, to me they are one. Architecture and yacht design in appearance only indicate different products, but the methods of design and conception of the work of sculptural art are the same.

The main goal is to come up with a yacht that boasts classic lines, yet it also carries contemporary appearance, making it a timeless design. The bow of the yacht has been designed to almost straight with superstructure and dark elements to create aggresive look.

The bow almost straight and the superstructure with some dark elements make this product very aggressive. A yacht of 60m steel and aluminum, with almost straight forward, classic colors and landing strip for helicopter, Gemini makes it suitable for an owner who wants to reach his yacht at any time of freedom.

Designer’s explanation about Gemini 60m Yacht:

On the deck at the bow, I expected a technical area, followed by a first Jacuzzi with sundeck and a sofa. Here with a view, at 180 degrees, there is one of the two owner cabins. To the lower deck is placed second. I like to call both ship owners because they are equivalent as far as comfort and finishes. Other pools are left in the aft cockpit with panoramic glass and on the upper deck near the helipad. The stern, as well as being a tender garage can be set up as a relaxation area. Once placed in water the tender, the space you live like a terrace overlooking the sea. Other tender garage we find him forward with opening at side.

When the bow is opened it creates a sequence of five terraces fitted with maximum comfort. The first level of water, the second on the main deck, the third on the upper deck, the fourth with swimming pool and helicopter, and the last on the sundeck. The main idea of the project was based on the desire to imagine a yacht elegant and harmonious, which had on board all possible facilities to date on a yacht of 60m.

For me the result was to be the synthesis of an exterior aggressive design, but classic and a rational organization of the interior, but at the same time is able to meet the needs of the owner. A key point that characterizes the interior, are the two master cabins, one on the main deck in the bow. With a full beam width and terraces that open and positioned on the upper deck, super views. Both cabins are equipped with massage room, gym with sauna and baths, these choices for the interior were made in order to enable owner to be able to accommodate very important people on board, or to turn it into a charter. For me, the sum of all these design choices must merge into a single concept can communicate harmony and beauty of yacht design made in Italy.

Ultimately, I consider Gemini 60m yacht as a synthesis of my concept of navigation, a technological challenge thrown to the sea but with deep respect and a sense of Mediterranean seafaring tradition.
