Grand Pigalle Hotel

Built around the “Bed & Beverage” concept, Experimental Group’s first hotel project welcomes guests with creative cocktails, refined Italian wines, and a mouthwatering Mediterranean inspired menu.

Perfectly executed by French designer Dorothée Meilichzon, the chic rooms echo the bohemian spirit of Paris, with bespoke mahogany desks, faux fireplaces, and aged wallpapers.

Grand Pigalle Hotel occupies a typically Parisian building in the up and coming SoPi (South Pigalle) district of the 9th Arrondissement, and some of its rooms have picturesque views across Montmartre. Photos: Kristen Pelou

Milu Correch lives and works in Buenos Aires. After series of workshops on muralism given by Lean Frizzera and Emy Mariani, two talented street artists, she was ready to transmit her images from sketches to city walls. Her walls got bigger and better with time. Her subjects focus mainly on mythological and anthropomorphic figures, fusing classic, ancient and Latin American iconography with characters from modern myths.

Wonderfully Strange Oil Painting and Drawing from Alessandro Sicioldr

Sicioldr is an italian painter and illustrator born in 1990 in Tarquinia, living and working in Perugia. He works mainly with oil paint, pencils and coloured pencils. His subjects are surreal images coming from unconscious that he represents using a blend of contemporary and traditional techniques. His visionary attitude began to sprout in early childhood, when he used to depict in his drawings strange and uncanny worlds. These early manifestations brought a scared kindergarten teacher to call his parents, asking for an exorcism. He studied and worked under his father’s guidance in his classical painting atelier where he learned not only how to paint but how to prepare wood with Cennino Cennini’s technique, how to mix and grind pigments and how to build and decorate custom frames. In 2014 he moved to his personal atelier. His inspirations often comes from his dreamy visions and from studies of art history, psychology, mythology, philosophy, literature and science.

Casa Fryzer

A spectacular 8,000 square feet estate perched atop Los Cabos’ Villas Del Mar, Casa Fryzer commands breathtaking ocean views. However, this is hardly its greatest selling point. State-of-the-art amenities, decadent bedrooms opening onto sunny terraces, and a spectacular infinity pool merging into the Sea of Cortez make this property a real standout.

Its flawless architecture, with stately archways and elaborate stonework, reminds of the grandeur of Colonial-era haciendas, while the spacious, beautifully outfitted interiors look like they’ve come straight off the page of a design magazine.

The home sleeps up to 12 guests in 6 lavish rooms, some of them complete with private Jacuzzi tubs. Underwater speakers, a striking swim-up bar, and a sunken dining area with fire pit decorate the magnificent 2,000-square foot pool, and entertainment options abound, with anything from gym and games room to private tennis court and home theater.
