Range Rover Diamond Is A Design Study for Possible Future Range Rover Series

Range Rover Diamond Concept is a personal project from Manole Romulus, through some researches, he wanted to continue the same philosophy that is carried by all car generations of this auto manufacturer. You can read Manole’s explanations about this project below.

By analyzing the four generations, one can notice the continuous philosophy behind the construction of these vehicles. Through the graphical analysis for this purpose, one can observe the main elements this design is based on. The edges I have marked with 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, the angle of inclination for A and D pillars (to facilitate observation, for the first generation I marked the last pillar also with D), the consoles marked with Cf and Cs, as well as in the area of wheel passages decompose the main elements and the way they have maintained continuity.

The concept I have presented considers this design analysis and describes a model for the foreseeable future placed within the current Range Rover series. It is designed for difficult areas with a high risk of impact and deforming of vehicle sides. The class of the vehicle is maintained, but the inferior register is made of geometrical sides with mat faces that are resistant to scratches. From the composition point of view, the vehicle follows the British house recipe. I have presented the image taking into account the design analysis made for the four Range Rover generations. The recipe contains a general volume in the Range Rover family classical proportions, the marking of the wheel passages, a first horizontal register, visible line for separation from the second horizontal register and the windowpane surface. This also represents a register itself through the glass line it builds.

A, B, C and D pillars are covered for this purpose with a shiny black material. The roof, the last visual component of the volume, is chromatically limited from the glass line by the British green in this case.

General description :
Wheelbase : 3000 mm
Length : 5010 mm
Width : 2150 mm
Height : 1860 mm

3 electric engines / one electric engine in each back wheel and the third engine, the most powerful is placed in front. The fuel cells are located in the floor, between the two axles of wheels. The hydrogen tank is placed in front, between the engine compartment and the cab and is protected by an additional structure against front collisions. The flat floor of the cab is used for seven seats: two in front, three in the middle and two at the rear. If we using five seats, the back of the car is for the trunk

Mocape : Design Proposal for Museum of Contemporary Arts and Planning Exhibition of Shenzhen

Mocape is a special project proposal for Museum of Contemporary Arts and Planning Exhibition in the region of Shenzhen. It aims to provide intimate and iconic public building for the Futian Center District. The project demonstrates a pair of hands coming together and interlocking each other, this is universally recognized gesture that represents respect and humbleness.

The building would house a new internal square space, a nice protected space of tranquillity and calm with traditional Chinese courtyard characteristics. Mocape features 2 principal wings, where Contemporary Art Museum is on one side and Planning Exhibition spaces on the other. The public square is located between those two, creating a nice space for outdoor venues or a meeting place for communal activities. The harmony is further enhanced through the site landscaping where the plan of the city is recreated at a small scale with water features and hard landscaping framing a pedestrian route as well as re-establishing human scale to the site.

Mocape museum also features dramatic form of a charging bull, an energetic force and symbol of the city to drive forward. The unique sculptural form is constructed from concrete with a full-height steel trusses, there are glazed openings that control the daylight levels internally, giving selected views out. These large volume of areas along with staircases, ramps, and escalators link the free flowing form of the open plan interior. The fragmented shapes that make up the museum will create a dynamic cultural landmark, it also serves as a tranquil oasis for private contemplation.

Anna Pan, also known as annaxiin, is a Chinese-Australian illustrator and animation student.

Anna started making art in 2012, at 17 years old. She has grown a substantial following on Tumblr, with each of her drawings typically garnering a couple of thousand notes.

“I definitely started as a way to communicate small ideas as cute little comics, to make others laugh. I think being able to convey emotions through art is still one of the most important things to me. When I started I was going through a pretty tough patch in life and it definitely helped me to stay anchored to the ground, so to speak!”

Outside of art, Anna enjoys music, fashion, and studying different sciences.

“I’ve also recently picked up cooking and it’s made such a huge difference in my life, as well as being a nice break from working all the time!”

Anna derives inspiration from several renowned artists like Hiroshi Yoshida, Katsuhiro Otomo, and Taiyo Matsumoto. She is also inspired by those around her.

“I find that a lot of my close friends and art acquaintances are the most inspiring and always push me to do better and be a better person!”

You can support Anna by keeping up with her here on Tumblr, checking out her website, following her on Twitter, and buying some of her prints.

Photo Invasion by Lucas Levitan

Brazilian illustrator and artist Lucas Levitan’s “Photo Invasions” have been doing the rounds on Instagram lately: by adding his own illustration to photographers images, he creates a humorous take on the original work. I call it Photo Invasion as a way to interact with other people’s images. It’s taken me somewhere I really like, creating this unexpected partnership with photographers he says.

Follow him also on Tumblr and enjoy the previous post.
