10 trendy motorcycle sidecars for a cool and comfy ride
Mohanty:
When it comes to biking, every young man gets Goosebumps. Sidecars have always complimented a bike since ages, not only spaciously but cosmetically too. However, very few of us know that the first sidecar was seen in a cartoon picture of George Moore published in a British newspaper "Motor cycling" way back in January 7 1903. Three weeks later, a provisional patent was owned by Mr. M.J. Graham, one of the Graham brothers, who then went into a partnership with Jonathan A. Kahn to start the manufacturing of sidecars.
1. Red Bull R120 BMW motorcycle with sidecar

Innovations are always under the spotlight. For being famous, one needs to think out of the box. An invention or innovation, whatever you name it, but definitely an impressive art form is there to be witnessed in a Red Bull R120 BMW motorcycle with a sidecar. The sidecar is in the shape and look of a huge red bull can, which accommodates a seating. Adding to the looks, it also has a wireless remote that releases a passenger compartment door. Moreover, it is accompanied with a front cooler that slides out from the front part of the can sidecar. The can is made up of the same composite as the ones we place over the top of mini coopers. Now that is what you call a devils ride.
2. Snaefell motorcycle sidecar

This beauty is surely one in a million. Apart from the fantastic looks, it has great features, which shall provide you with the comforts of a car along with a biking experience. This little wonder has changed the very definition of a sidecar. In comparison to any other sidecar, this 1000cc Laverda motorcycle with three exhausts offers the most luxurious ride. The designer has further employed different parts of a Kawasaki 1000RX, and it took him nearly 10 years and cost his pocket nearly €15000 to build this wonder.
3. German fighter plane-inspired sidecar

Vintage cars and vintage looks have always been an essential part of the Western World. The German fighter plane inspired sidecar revives the memories of World War II. It has been designed by Henrick Toth, who is a Hungarian bike builder and Wild West theme park owner. The motorcycle has a beautiful vintage look with a sidecar designed in a way to look like an old German fighter plane. This beauty is inspired by a Second World War Messerschmitt ME109 fighter plane.
4. Abnormal Cycles Union

The Bernareggio based companies created an Art Deco inspired sidecar complete with wood trim and hooked it up to a 1942 Harley Davidson Model U. It was built by Abnormal Cycles of Italy. The leaf spring fork is inspired from an Indian design of the same sort whereas the Italian Kustom Tech built the three chrome and brass drum brakes.
5. Motorcycle Hearse

Another great designing of a sidecar has been seen around the Midlands over the last couple of years. It is Motorcycle Hearse, a modern Triumph fitted with a purpose built sidecar Hearse. Moreover, the sidecar is outfitted traditionally and ridden by the owner. The bike is often used for carrying the corpse at different funerals. What could be better for a person than to have his last ride in his corpse.
6. Motorcycle fitted with coffin sidecar

Talking about coffins leads us to a motorcyclist who has designed the sidecar of his bike into a look alike of a coffin! Seems crazy, but the biker loves it. We are not aware of any biker actually crashing into a coffin but as far as this bike is concerned, the coffin plays the role of the sidecar, which is attached to a beautiful stock cruiser. It is not a hearse but still is regularly driven with this look. Moreover, the skull headlight enhances its deadly look to many folds. It surely does look a ghost rider ride if seen in a single glance. The bike's comfortable seating also cannot be ignored as it serves the best purpose for cruisers when thinking about a ride to the countryside.
7. Cool motorcycle sidecar

Thinking about cans, fighter planes and coffins, shakes your mind. However, this motorcycle sidecar combo is part of the Cool Cycles Ice Cream Co. The motorbike and sidecar combo is based on Honda 750 Shadow and a Harley Davidson 883 Sportster.
8. Russian sidecar motorcycle

The Russians are born with a bone of invention. They proved it again with the designing of the V8 sidecar motorcycle, which might be just the killer getaway vehicle for those thugs on the run. This super cool devil's ride looks like a dirt bike giving the same experiences. In addition, the roads are not that reliable all over the globe. Be it for the middle Africa or the South Asian countries, bikes with low suspension have always proved to be landing up in a service station as soon as they hit the wrong road. However, this little devil with strong shockers and raised suspension will not prove to be a disappointment by any chance.

10 crazy and creative car mods for auto nerds
Saha:
There is a craze of every new thing that arrives in the market nowadays. The younger, geeky, generation of today is crazy about every new and trendy invention that comes by. One of the gadgets claiming huge popularity today is the custom car models. It is a passenger vehicle. Hence' it is generally small and the modifications made to it make it speedy at the same time. Modifications are generally possible on two fronts - one is by improving the performance and the other is through additional styling. The first one is accomplished by making changes in the engines or transmission of the vehicle and the second one by getting creative and use of imagination so that it gets an altogether new look from what it appeared while in the factory. Some of the cool creations out of trendy imaginations are given below.
1. Mini Pacman and Space Invaders Cooper

This car model is a modified Mini Cooper as shown in the images above. A Mini Cooper has 1598 cc petrol engine. The design of the Mini Cooper is modified here for styling. The old school gaming add to the features of Mini Cooper. Here, the two gaming designs of Space Invaders and Pacman have been used to bring out that childhood nostalgia to give you back the once-lost experience. The retro colors and patterns glow in the dark. This cute model is available for $12883.
2. Ghostbusters' Ecto

The Ghostbusters' Ecto is modified from the Cardillac Miller-Meteor ambulance by the Universal Studios that promoted the vehicle in one of their movie productions called Ghostbusters. Several parts of the ambulance like the suspension work, brake pads, shocks, brakes, steering box, transmission, lining, rear end and mufflers have been modified in this vehicle. Besides, new rings and (a little) wiring is seen in the new Ecto. This cool and robust model is priced at $15000.
3. X-Wing Fighter Car Mod

This car model is crafted through modifications in the Honda del Sol car. Honda del Sol is a two-seater and front engine car. X-Wing Fighter gives the feeling of the Star Wars' X-Wing Fighter plane. The theme itself is Star Wars, due to which the owner of the car would find one of its characters 'Yoda' seated on the passenger seat of the car. Also, there is Star Wars logo on the hood and steering wheel. There is the famous R2D2 at the back of the car. This rebellious car costs about $18447 in the market.
4. Star Wars Landspeeder

This model is also inspired by Landspeeder, a fictional anti-gravity craft in Star wars. The car is the modified version of USV– 5 Landspeeder which is a medium-sized vehicle. There have been modifications made in the body work, chassis and electronics of the original USV-5 Landspeeder. The side grills are also water jetted with PVC and there is lighting effect put in the engine pods. May be sometime in future, there might be the air intake concept - to make it fly in the air as in Star Wars! The cost of this car is $13880.
5. Pac Man Car mod

This model is inspired by the '80s video game called Pac man. There is a whole lot of craft inspired by Pac man done on the wheels, side doors and bonnet. The painting of red and yellow symbolizes the Pac man video game color. The 'Game Over' indication at the rear plate makes the model look further trendier. A fan of the Pac man video games in America modified his old car into this. This car can cost you anywhere close to $9880.
6. Fat Boy

As the image shows, this model is another one inspired by the Pac man video games of the '80s. It is rather the replica of the life large Mr Pac man himself. It is as cosy as it seems with the open mouth of Pac man acting as the window shield of the car. This model was on display at the Red Bull Soapbox competition in Vancouver in 2008 by one of the crazy Pac man lovers.
7. Zelda Car

This car model is inspired by one of the video games called 'The Legend of Zelda' where Zelda is a fighter or hero of the game. The game is from NES games corporation with NES standing for Nintendo Entertainment System. This 8 bit video game console was rolled out d in 80s' in North America, Europe and Australia. Scenes from the video game are painted all over the car model. As shown in the image above, this car model is modified from a racer car of Nissan.
8. HR Giger Alien Car

This model was modified from the PT Cruiser (a Chrysler automobile) in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. The only modification primarily done seems to be the mold of the Dragon Alien attached on the top of the bonnet. Then of course air brushing has been done to a very great extent in order to make it look lively. This model is very beautiful from inside and beneath - same as of course the PT Cruiser, and also has a horrifying look with the dragon alien on top of it. It boasts of an awesome front look that is horrifying enough to keep the thieves away from it. The cost of this monster Alien car is $1100.
9. Circuit Board Car

How wonderful would it be if you are able to make use of the outdated and destroyed Printed Circuit Boards again? This has been done in the case of this car which has been decorated with the PCBs all over its body. Instead of just throwing the basic electronic boards and circuits, the creator of this car made use of them by adorning his old car with the otherwise not-useful boards. This modification also saves fuel as the use of electricity through the semiconductor boards and circuits satisfies the need of the driver in order to hit the road. The cost of this amazing car is $10000 approximately.
10. Carpucino Car Mod

This model is modified from the Maruti Suzuki Car. Ever heard of a car that runs on 2.2 lbs of coffee? The new CarPuchino can run at a speed of 60 mph on 2.2 lbs of coffee! Coffee ingredients constitute chemicals, and this car engine can support any chemical reaction. Therefore, working of the car begins with the splitting of coffee into Hydrogen and Carbon Monoxide. Then the gas mixture runs through the radiator type pipes which are attached in an inclined position above the hood of the car as shown in the picture. This makes the mixture cool down a bit. After this, the mixture runs towards the back of the car in the boot, where 2 filters filter the mixture. The two filters are, cyclone filter that removes any unwanted solid particle, and loft insulating filter that prevents tar to enter in. Finally, the clean gas is fed to the engines in front of the car, in order to burn and produce power. This technique is environment friendly and saves on a lot of fuel consumption. The cost of this intelligent car is £11995.
This trend of modification is going on since past many years. The American cars with large engines modified for linear speed were called 'hot rods' whereas the ones modified for styling with video games' ideas were called "street rods." Generally it has been the Customizers versus the Rodders where Rodders are increasingly winning in this cool and trendy generation.

Re-purposed Adoptabots Sculptures
Adoptabots are robot figures created from discarded daily objects, which are now ready to set on with a new life. Designer Brian Marshall decided that products which had ostensibly completed their desired taks did not deserve to rot in the landfill, so he decided to give them a new life in the form of artistic figures which maintain their original form, but also take up an entirely new shape
