Hexeosis:  Trippy Pattern Movement

At one time the very popular gif artist who is know as Hexeosis was a Creative Director for a respected Motion Graphics firm making TV Commercials for a living. After seeing the creative gif work coming out of the Tumblr community in 2012  Hexeosis was inspired and started making gifs, and got so good at and it and so popular that he decided to strike out on his own and make commissions for a living.  The result is a library of fantastically color saturated loops that would serve as a great description for the word ‘trippy’ in the dictionary.  For those who follow gif artists closely, please know that he creates these gifs NOT with code but with Cinema4D and After Effects, the traditional tool set of motion graphics designers.

Keep up with all your favorite artists on our Facebook page.

Unwind in True Cycladic Fashion at Oia’s Andronis Arcadia...

Unwind in True Cycladic Fashion at Oia’s Andronis Arcadia Hotel

Santorini is an island where hotels compete for views of mesmerizing seascapes and sunsets, and Andronis Arcadia delivers them in spades. But that’s not all that draws in vacationers - the stylish all-suite hotel on the edge of Oia is replete with amenities and looks like it came out of the pages of a decor magazine.

A classy, contemporary take on the traditional Cycladic style, the architecture is an ensemble of white cubic volumes interspersed with dreamy turquoise pools and magnificent outdoor terraces. The interiors are earthy, polished, and minimal, with light oak furnishings and inspired craft details placed against an abundance of smooth white and beige surfaces.

Thomas Hooper:  The Joy of Ray Marching

Thomas Hooper is from Bristol and lives in London working as a web designer and developer.  He has no art training but did have an interest in geometric sculpture and polyhedra, which inspired him to find ways to create them digitally and efficiently.  He wound up using ‘ray marching signed distance functions’ a technique about which he says is ‘so beautiful and refined it gives me endless joy to work with.’  I will add that it enables him to create beautiful artwork as well, as evidenced by these gifs,
