John Ueland: Stylized Gif Toys

John Ueland, based in San Francisco, has been a professional illustrator for over 20 years and has a long list of impressive high end clients. You have probably seen his work in a publication or website you looked at recently. A few years ago he did a series of richly textured and gritty animated gifs in which the motion serves to bring the uniquely styled drawings to life, like a beat up old metal wind up toy, or a damaged set of punk legos.
