An exclusive canal-side palazzo apartment, Varoter – The Leather Worker provides a marvelous retreat in the historic Cannaregio district of Venice, gloriously away from the tourist crowds.
Nestled on the second floor of Palazzo Vendramin, it combines elegant, contemporary Italian design with a sense of heritage reflected in the splendidly restored architectural details throughout. Framed by polished Venetian terrazzo flooring and spectacular frescoed ceilings, the decor is sophisticatedly uncluttered, with timeless Barcelona chairs, sleek mid-century modern lamps, and a couple of sultry, sizable artworks.
Graced with glorious French windows overlooking the serene Rio di Santa Fosca canal, the studio includes a bright and grand living room, a strikingly modern kitchenette, and an equally contemporary bathroom. Complete with a double bed, the glass-sided mezzanine above the dining area serves as sleeping quarters.

crssTRANSCEND - Portrait series by Rae Senarighi
crss“Transcend is a series of portraits featuring transgender and gender non-conforming artists, activists and leaders from around the world. All works are acrylic paint on canvas and range in size from 36" x 36" to 72" x 96". TRANSCEND will be touring nationwide in the US in 2018 (and prints will be shown in London, UK). Living openly as transgender requires the personal courage to present authentically in oppressive environments. The subjects in this portrait series live out in the open all over the world, thus choosing integrity over safety daily. Using large canvases, bright colors and wide-open skies, these rising transgender leaders are literally and figuratively taking up space. I’m a transgender non-binary artist currently living and working in Portland, Oregon.”

I’m a self-taught Vietnamese born painter with a major focus on water based mediums such as watercolor, gouache and sometimes ink. I started to paint 1 year ago, as a way to rediscover my childhood passion for arts and eventually it took over most my time and became something I’d put serious thoughts and efforts into. I’ve tried various style, different approaches and recently I’m working on a personal project, called “Symbiosis”.
