Jay Keeree: New Work
Jay Keeree, who has graced these pages before, is a freelance Motion Designer from Philadelphia. He began his gifs in 2015 as a way to ‘experiment and create something for myself’ in his downtime and has not stopped creating them since. Despite self imposed limitations of palette, timing and composition, there is a wonderful variety in his work - Jay is always finding new ways to express himself within these limitations. These gifs really hold up to repeat viewing: A bounty of elegance in design and motion is packed into these few seconds. Also, this work has echoes of earlier abstract animators of almost 100 years ago like Viking Eggeling and Oskar Fischinger.
