Dennis Hoogstad:  Elegance, simplicity

Dennis Hoogstad, illustrator, animator, and director, is from the Netherlands and that is where he lives and works on projects for clients all around the world.  He is a great example of the school of Motion Design in which elegance and simplicity is the guiding principle.  The way he started animating is a common story: “when I was about 14 years old or so, I discovered I could make gifs. That night I didn’t sleep at all, because I had a zillion ideas on what I could with that. In a way, I think that 14 year old boy creating animated loops never really disappeared”  I hope that Dennis never loses that great spirit!
