Ego, Toby Compton
An appreciation of the individual. To journey through life successfully one must develop a sense of self. This piece symbolically demonstrates the pull of consciousness within oneself and an increasing development of self –awareness.
I’m a 20-year-old British illustration student studying at the University of Portsmouth. The image I posted was one of five drawings made from Biro pen only, and they are all drawings of hands in various positions. The sculptures are my friends which he sells in shows in London so this is a step up for me to draw them and be part of his show!
I also draw animals and landscapes.. anything that looks good :) I’m also a keen analog film photographer! Instagram

Anna Taberko’s Kaleidoscopic Flowers
Anna Taberko, a professional animator working in Minneapolis, is fascinated by zoetropes and loves flowers. These two things are obvious when you look at her work. But she takes those two things, and with inventive animation and attention to detail transforms these zoetrope like gifs, with their ever changing flowers, swimming eternally outward toward the edge of the frame, into objects of beauty that are hard to stop looking at. You may find yourself having to tear yourself away to make it to your next appointment.
