Sometimes it seems there is barely a resort in the Maldives that isn’t paradise on Earth. And indeed, the Grand Park Kodhipparu on the North Male Atoll – with dreamy villas and over-water bungalows set amidst white powdery sands and crystal clear waters – feels like it has dropped straight from heaven.
Whether framed by lush greenery or perched over a shallow blue lagoon, each stylish sanctuary blends contemporary luxury with a traditional design touch, featuring inviting private terraces, alfresco showers, and breathtaking views of the sea vanishing into the sky. Depending on their location, some boast see-through glass floors for admiring the underwater world, yet others come with personal swimming pools.
Dining options include light Mediterranean fare by the pool, grilled specialties at the sophisticated Firedoor restaurant, and flavors from around the world served in over-water private pods at The Edge.
Complementing the experience at this elegant island resort are a variety of wonderful experiences, from water sports and island excursions to holistic spa sessions and romantic sunset cruises.
