A single sheet of handmade paper formed into natures most intricate and elaborate dynamics to create breathtaking sculptures. Find Your Optimal International Meeting Time Using "Time and Dates"

Our world is more interconnected now than in any period in history. This article, can be read by anyone in the world at the same time (assuming they are connected to the internet). I have friends on the other side of the planet who I can message, and the messages can be received instantly.  People in business meeting can communicate with partners w ho are thousands of miles away. When things work well, they can be great. Borders and huge distances become meaningless, and communication is easy. Time is the ultimate invisible border However, this is not always the case. Though we can get in touch with people instantly, it is another thing entirely for them to be there.  This is simply due to time zones. What might be mid afternoon for me, can be very early in the morning, or late at night for others. I have a friend who recently had a Skype job interview with people in a different country, to do it, he had to stay up until 1am. Often we don’t consider the affects of time zones, so o

Acai Berry: Health benefits to Our Skin and Weight

When it comes to health and wellness, you are familiar with the usual buzzwords. “Superfood” and “Power-packed” get thrown around a lot. Likewise, the words probably bring to mind images of leafy kale and bright, juicy blueberries. If you’ve ever visited a health-foods restaurant, then you probably also think of Acai berries. The long, reddish-purple berry that closely resembles a blueberry is rich in antioxidants. In fact, many makeup and cosmetic brands even use it as an ingredient for their skincare! While there is debate as to whether or not Acai specifically promotes weight loss, there is no doubt that berries are part of a healthy diet which can aid in reduced pounds. What is Acai? The acai berry comes from the acai palm tree, which is native to Central and South America. The pulp is richer in antioxidants than cranberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and even blueberries [1] . According to research, Acai really became popular around 2009. One website recorded th

Should There Be A Line Between Work And Your Personal Life?

In the working world, there are certain industries that stand out for being highly competitive and cut throat. Examples include the Banking and Finance sector, Start Up’s and IT where anyone can easily be replaced, kicked out and competition is fierce. It becomes every man to himself when climbing the corporate ladder of success. In such a context, many workers become task-oriented and focus only on themselves. A classic dog eat dog world. How can they get the next promotion? What must they do to earn a bigger commission or bonus? Or at least avoid getting replaced or losing their job to the next Ivy League graduate? Me, Myself and I  With this shift in the way organizations work, employee behaviors change to adapt, and this individualistic turn impacts relationships greatly. In competitive, stressful jobs (which are increasingly common), we see more superficial relationships and a lack of trust and ruthlessness between co-workers. Some individuals become accustomed to constantly b

Drawings by Harry MichalakeasHarry Michalakeas is a British...

Drawings by Harry Michalakeas Harry Michalakeas is a British artist based in Dallas, TX, US. He is fascinated by the juxtaposition of natural and artificial beauty and plays with both to fashion an odd realism that is familiar yet strange. I love when a work of art triggers a deep feeling, and the viewer is somehow seduced into analyzing the artist’s mind. Usually the viewer can’t quite pin down what the artist feels while creating art; however if the interaction yields a powerful enough emotional reaction, for me, that is clearly a breakthrough. A mind has been changed, slightly. Something has happened. I believe that we can pass through the heightened appreciation of beauty in the world just by observing it, and of course by making art.
