Monochromes, Painting as Sculpture

 Jason Martin

London painter, Jason Martin was revealed on the international art scene in the nineties. His work follows the western tradition of gestural painting, Martin creates monochrome paintings on an aluminum background upon which the brushstroke becomes the subject of the piece. Colour is the starting point, the background remains saturated through grooves made by the brushstroke.

 Did Moreres

French artist. Did Moreres’ approach on monochrome is spiritual, symbolizing the brain waves of our unconsciousness as a landscape. Everything is abstract but a tiny element, that perhaps is an anchor to our reality.
