Viktoria Mezamero Voronko is an illustrator and artist living in Voronezh, Russia. In her digital paintings, she plays with the blackness like no other ( @me-za-me-ro on Tumblr). She is an example of what could be the new contemporary art as she lives directly as an artist from her art based on commissioned work through the Web. A return to the Art when it wasn’t  restricted to a rich elite group. Tell us, the ones who know Damian Hirst: which artist do you prefer? Him or Her?

Piezoelectric Trolleybus Garden by Margot Krasojevic

In order to make public transportation even more environmentally friendly, we can build trolleybuses. These electric vehicles don’t use fossil fuel and more eco-friendly compared to hydrocarbon-based vehicles, nice transportation system to be implemented in the city. Furthermore, these trolleybuses can generate electricity from kinetic energy while braking, this feature is a must have for the trolleybus gardens terminal project, the system would store and release electrical energy when necessary.

Designed by Margot Krasojevic, this system uses printed piezoelectric cells applied to the main body of the Helix structure. These cells generate electricity from trolleybus pulses as they pass through stations from city to city. The structure also features steel frame concrete clad helix that keeps a series of aluminum consolidated carbon nano-tubes to increase the heat, including electrical conductivity of the crystals embedded within the structure. These crystals can produce electricity just from airflow and pressure coming from overhead wire movement.

Piezoelectric Trolleybus Garden design also features folded cross section that increase vibration of the trolley-poles and their affects on deforming the semi-conductor cells, thus, amplifying the output. The nature can also support the system, the wind and rain also vibrate the steel wire cluster, this vibration can amplify the piezoelectric cell, resulting in kinetic movement. The overall design functions as electric amplifier, offering street lighting, Wi-Fi access for near neighborhood, an adaptive power port, and many more. This means that commuters would be able to charge their mobile devices or even their smart cars at this trolleybus station.

A Giant Illuminated ‘Castle in the Sky’ Ship Built for the Studio Ghibli Exhibition in Tokyo

Perched in the sky fifty-two stories above Tokyo, a new exhibition celebrates a 30-year retrospective of Studio Ghibli, the Japanese animation studio famous for anime films like Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, and Princess Mononoke. The centerpiece of the Studio Ghibli Expo is a room filled with various airships from several Ghibli films, specifically a sizeable illuminated replica of a ship from Hayao Miyazaki’s Castle in the Sky that rises and falls as if airborne, complete with dozens of whirring propellers. The retrospective also includes original artwork, interactive exhibits, and a small cafe serving 11 dishes inspired by different films. You can additional photos and read more about it on The Creator’s Project and RocketNews24.  Video at above link.

Triumph Thruxton Retrovation Concept Motorcycle Features Retro, Modern Design for Elite Market

Lee Thompson has submitted his latest project, Triumph Thruxton Retrovation concept motorcycle. It features retro, modern style that’s gaining popularity nowadays.

Triumph Thruxton 1400 “Le Grande” RRRetro-Evolution-Elevation, let’s call “Retrovation”. So what do I mean? Any bike fan will see the Retro market has become rather full to overcrowding, the old time look is popular but now that all manufacturers are joining in what or where to now? Where someone with pedigree, history, and iconic status such as Triumph could go is to develop an existing Retro model. Let’s take the “Truxton” give it a true RR sports status with a tuned 1400 forward leaning twin engine, a modern rear suspension, modern nose fairing incorporating past lines, wheel options, enhance and exploit the Thruxton’s engine /side cover components, add a belly pan and upgrade the paint and graphics to boast the quality and name. Providing an alternative hard to follow iconic retro in raising it to a new elite market would attract the desire of owning the elite “the one to have” of a new age retro evolution and elevation market place.
