Artist Uses Ordinary Drywall to Create Beautiful Wall Sculptures

Sometimes the mark of a true creative is their ability to make use of any medium to generate eye-catching artwork. Bernie Mitchell puts his unique brand of creativity to work as he constructs artistic murals out of nothing but drywall. The Canadian contractor currently lives and operates out of Ontario, drawing inspiration for his fantastic drywall creations from the beautiful natural surroundings of his country. Mitchell infuses a love of nature and animals into his work, transforming the walls of his clients into works of art.

For Mitchell, this line of work started off simply enough—he was first a professional drywall finisher before he began to experiment on the raised surfaces, making use of wheat and barley stalks and pieces of leather to fabricate intricate carvings. Today, Mitchell continues to offer his talents as a contractor but also has an unmatched affinity for creating speciality pieces. His preferred subjects are birds, and his subtle carvings bring a certain element of flair to an otherwise dull section of wall.Check out the video, above, to see Mitchell sculpt an elegant scene of a wolf mother and pup. Installation Art by Antony Gormley

Antony Gormley is one of Britain’s most important contemporary sculptors, and installations of his work have taken place all over the world. In the 1980s, he pioneered the concept of casting the body in a variety of poses to evoke universal ideas relating to the human condition—a subject that remains a major theme in his work today.

“Field” is an Antony Gormley installation of 35k clay figures made by a family of Mexican brick-makers. Gormley asked that the figures be easy to hold in one hand and that the head and body be in proportion to one another. Approximately sixty members of the extended family (men, women and children) made these small figures, no more than 26 cm in height from about 25 tons of clay. Field resembles a tidal wave of miniature terracotta sleepwalkers, limited only by the walls that contain them.

The Captivating Women of Graf n’Arq

The artist known as Graf n’Arq is from Uruqay.  There is little information available about him online.  His portraits of women are meticulously detailed.  The most stunning detail about his work art the eyes - on some of his pieces it is difficult to look away from their amazing eyes.  Some of his work is quite explicit.  You can see more of Graf n’Arq’s work on Tumblr.  Thanks to camota.com.

Renault Clio R.S. 16 Concept Car to Celebrate Renault Sport’s 40th Anniversary

As a road legal Formula 1 car, Renault Clio R.S. 16 concept car might not look like typical F1 single-seater car, but it is equipped with Renault range’s highest performing engine. This project was conceived to celebrate fortieth anniversary of Renault, it took around 5 months for the Renault Sport teams to work together and brought to you a crazy idea that involved putting a 275bhp, 2.0-liter turbo engine under the bonnet of a Clio R.S.

In order to get the full potential of that powerful engine, Clio R.S. 16 has been designed with innovative chassis and suspension systems that feature solutions developed for racing. This car has 19-inch wheels and a 60m wider bodywork, giving you aggressive look just to serve its purpose, Renault Sports most powerful road car.

Clio R.S. 16 was born during discussion where Christophe Chapelain engineer said that a Clio chassis would be able to handle the performance levels of a 300bhp engine. One thing led to another, the idea of a Clio R.S. with extraordinary performance gained its ground. The team wanted to create a car with extraordinary performance levels yet with realistically priced. Everyone at the Monaco Grand Prix has witnessed how Renault Sport made great connection between the racetrack and the road.
