Thai Master Artist: Thongchai Srisukprasert
Thongchai Srisukprasert (ธงชัย ศรีสุขประเสริฐ) is one of Thailand’s most famous living artists. Born in Bangkok in 1963, he is a multidisciplinary artist creating large scale portrait, abstract & surreal paintings with themes rooted in Thai Buddhism & mythology. He is also a renowned sculptor usually working with metal casting. His “Great Hornbill Lady” statue stands at the entrance to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Bangkok. Thongchai also shares his knowledge & experience by teaching art at Silpakorn University.
