Leonora Carrington OBE (6 April 1917 – 25 May 2011), was a British-born–Mexican artist, surrealist painter, and novelist. She lived most of her adult life in Mexico City, and was one of the last surviving participants in the Surrealist movement of the 1930s. She and Max Ernst were a couple living in turbulent times, they were separated during the war.

Born in Seoul, Korea in 1966 Kim Joon (김준) is one of Korea’s most notable contemporary artists. He creates digital prints exploring themes of desire, memory & youth using porcelain & tattoos as his digital mediums. He fabricates compositions out of tableware, fragments of idealized nudes, & icons of Western pop culture. A master of 3D software, Kim successfully juxtaposes traditional Asian motifs & new media.
Canadian sculptor Dale Dunning creates amazing metal heads and faces. They are full of symbols and references to myths which gives them an added power in addition to their stunning beauty. Some of them are quite large, and their physical presence adds to their impact. Thanks to 2headedsnake.
Russian photographer Katerina Plotnikova (born 1987), with the help of professional trainers and their animals, has completed a series of brilliant photographs with the participation of ‘princesses’ and wild creatures, proving that you don’t need to be a master of Photoshop to achieve the images present only in fairy tales and dreams.
