Design studio Based Upon creates exquisite works of art using a variety of materials. From their website:
Based Upon was founded in 2004 by twin brothers Ian and Richard Abell. A year later, Based Upon presented their first limited edition collection in Comme Des Garcons, Dover Street Market, London. This inaugural collection established the studio’s fundamental strength in creating unique design pieces imbued with a strong sense of narrative… Based Upon have exhibited at Masterpiece Fine Art Fair and at Christies, where their edition pieces outperformed expectations. In March, 2015, the studio will be unveiling their first major public sculptures in Hong Kong and London.
