“The light grew brighter as Tommen neared it, crawling slowly on his hands and knees over scree, which opened unto rocks, which opened unto boulders. The boulders, Tommen realized with delight, were warm to the touch, as if the light source was pumping heat into them. “Is it a fire?” Tommen asked himself, moving steadily up toward the redness. His fear gave way to curiosity, and he moved forward eagerly.”
