Put A Santa Hat On The Corner Of A TV And You Have A Drinking Game (8 pics)

Let's face it, Christmas traditions can be pretty boring. That's why you need to start getting with the times and integrating some new traditions into your yearly festivities. This one is easy. All you need is a Santa hat, a TV and a decent amount of alcohol.

All you do is put that Santa hat on the corner of the TV (or laptop).

You instantly make any show a Christmas special.

For some reason, The West Wing seemed to work really well with this concept.

But you can use the ole Santa hat trick on other shows, too.

Try it out and see what you think.

This is too good of a new tradition not to catch on.

Bodin Hon, the designer, explains that Solari requires few hours to slowly cook your delicious and nutritious crock pot style meals, you don’t even need to purchase any gas, coal, or plug this appliance to an electrical outlet. The compact size makes it highly portable, the easy set up makes it great companion for traveling.

The combination of heat trap affect and light focuser allow Solari to convert sun’s energy to heat for cooking food. The light passes through the transparent lid and a spot fresnel lens, moving to the base of a reflective shell. This light is then dispersed around aluminum body and the rays that hit the hat absorptive cooking pot is converted to heat and warms up the food inside from all directions.

Homefarm: Urban Retirement Housing That Promotes Vertical Farming

SPARK Architects have released a design proposal for our next generation of urban retirement housing: Homefarm. It’s a building complex that combines living and farming typology for Singapore (can be applied elsewhere) along with apartments and facilities for seniors, it promotes vertical urban farming. All seniors can live in a high density garden environment which has been designed and developed specifically for vegetable farm, at this place, they might find employment as well. This project aims to start discussion about many potential that can emerge from mixing 2 typically separate realms. This research-based architecture tries to address 2 pressing challenges faced by Singapore: how this city support a rapidly aging society and how it might enhance its food security which unfortunately at this moment 90% is still imported.
