There are still 2.5 million people in developing countries that rely on coal for cooking but the disadvantage of this method is there’s a huge heat loss in burning coal. Double Warm has been designed to answer that challenge, it’s inspired by the ancient Chinese idea where earth was square and heaven was round. The combination of ancient culture and ceramic art creates convenience and aesthetics product.
This concept coal stove is an eco-friendly stove that features a water storage layer that surrounds the furnace, thus, allowing users to boil water while cooking. In an energy deficit society, every bit of resource should be utilized wisely. Double Warm makes the most energy for cooking and boiling water.

A-cero have designed an incredibly white minimalist penthouse apartment in Costa Blanca, Spain.
Project description
This penthouse reform of 218 sqm is placed in a town of the coast of Valencia, Spain. The apartment has an area of 175 sqm and the terrace has 43 sqm, which makes a total of 218m2. Access to housing is given through a hall of 6 sqm.
First we found a great diaphanous space: the living room of 55 sqm, and the kitchen with 14.5 sqm. Other spaces that complete this apartment are the hallway, the pantry, the laundry room (located on the back of the kitchen), the master bedroom with dressing room and bathroom with a total area of 27sqm and finally two secondary bedrooms of 17 sqm, with bathroom in suite.
White is the main character of this project. The property is located in the “Costa Blanca / white coast” in Valencia. This provides enormous luminosity inside. The sinuous shapes are also relevant in this project with the views focused to the environment extending to the sea.
We have designed a ceiling whose curves are resolved in white glow Krion by Porcelanosa. This ceiling goes through walls also, and has indirect LED lighting that changes colour to create different atmospheres and feelings.
The interior woodwork: interior doors, closets and dressing are done in white lacquered. A mirrored wall at the back of the hall gives more depth to this home. Furthermore, the finished for the horizontal parameters of the house use a white plastic colour, except from the living room where vertical parameters are followed with overlapping slats Krion.
The kitchen is exclusively designed by A-cero. It has sinuous forms and is also made with the material Krion by Porcelanosa. The rest of the furniture is designed by A-cero, such as beds, tables, bedrooms, bathrooms… while the living room sofas, chairs and dining tables are designed and manufactured by the international firm Vondom. Everything is white and suit perfectly with the concept of this holiday housing.

In winter, lakes and rivers usually freeze but only on the surface, allowing fish to survive beneath the ice. However, as winter progresses, oxygen levels begin to drop as well as food, yes, fish can learn to adapt to survive, but not all of them can do that. We could create holes to save the fish, but people also might accidentally fall into the ice hole, so, keeping this in mind, Fish Hole is created.
It is a weighted double-layer column which can be placed in lakes or ponds before icing up to create safe, uniform ice holes. Once the column is frozen in place, you can remove the inner tube to allow the oxygen in. at the same time, it can be used for fish feeding or fishing. The bright colors of this unit offer a nice warning about the presence of holes in the ice.
