Air Rope Inflatable Rescue Tunnel for Safely Cross Flooded River

Instead of using rope pulley system, it would be much safer to use Air Rope when crossing floodwaters. It’s a concept inflatable rescue tunnel to help victims during flood situations. We have to deal with so many lives lost to natural disasters, and the number is increasing every year. Most often than not, people are trapped on the wrong side of a flooded river, therefore, rescue team has to manually cross the river by securing a pulley system to transfer the victims across by rope. It’s really dangerous method, it puts both the victim and rescuer at risk.

This new rescue tool takes the form of a tunnel where air is pumped into doughnut-shaped fabric tube to make it extend into a round tunnel. Rescue team can secure it to the ground and the tunnel is ready to be used as a safe bridge for victims to cross over. It’s pretty practical, when not in use, it can be deflated, folded, and packed into the storage case.

Project description

Situated in a flood plain on the barrier island off of Long Island, this house is elevated on piles, allowing the beach landscape to run through the site. A wood boardwalk, running the length of the site from the entry road out to the rear yard boat dock, splits the house, providing dramatic views of the bay and marsh grasses. The house’s massing is a composition of solid and void, with solid walls to the ground and others on piles left exposed.

Lash – A Light Attachment for Spray Can

Graffiti artists would love to welcome LASH, a nice light attachment for their paint can when they need to perform graffiti at night or under low light environments. Graffiti is not just an expression of art, it also expresses social and political messages upon spray paint graffiti styles, it’s a controversial way to send messages because most of graffiti arts are done on walls or vehicles without permission, it’s illegal. However, nowadays, graffiti has given a lot of positive impacts on the society, when provided a legal space for it.

LASH was born out of the idea of creating a light attachment that works at the right place for the right purpose. It’s easy to carry, lightweight, and can be self-recharged when the artist shakes the can.
