Twinway : A Mobility Solution for Serbia by Marko Lukovic
TwinWay is a concept vehicle submitted to Michelin Design Challenge to propose a mobility solution in Serbia. As the largest country in South Eastern Europe, Serbia is left behind in terms of technology, fortunately young people in Serbia are becoming more and more accustomed to electronic revolution that brings them all technical and technological progress and facilitates their daily life.
This country is expected to have increased its transportation technology by tenfold in the beginning of 2021. Right now, Serbia has to deal with large number of old and dilapidated transit routes that connect major cities, not to mention the lack of subway that causes traffic jam on the street, especially in the morning and evening.
TwinWay vehicle comes with automatic recognition system to read road signs, traffic lights, terrain topology, weather condition, detect pedestrians, along with automatic braking and acceleration. It is expected to help traffic moves much faster. The communication system between these vehicles also contribute to the traffic safety, it will drastically reduce the number of road traffic collision. This car is a remote controlled MPV, it has the ability to be controlled from smartphone or tablet computer, thanks to its innovative E-Drive system, user can choose to ride this vehicle using manual or autonomous driving mode.
Designer : Marko Lukovic
It’s a full package mobility solution, each vehicle is equipped with GPS navigation, radar recognition, camera vision, LiDAR automatic detection of ground topology, 360-degree Radar detection of other vehicles or objects, and voice control over vehicle technology. It’s an ideal vehicle to use in urban areas among large crowd, it’s also a great family car to go on a trip into nature. This vehicle can move in both directions (forward or backward), it has no front or rear part, it’s a great feature especially when you are trapped in the area where there’s no space to turn.

Thorncrest House by Altius Architecture
Altius Architecture have designed the Thorncrest House in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada.
From the architects
This new modern residence accommodates a family of 6 and their guests. Private spaces are arranged to allow for an open concept space with double height living room surrounded by a catwalk.
Particular attention was paid to natural daylight exposure at the basement walk-out, easing its transition to grade via a sunken pool, deck and grass terraces. Shading is provided by deep roof overhangs and cantilevered volumes.
The homes distinctive blue zinc cladding and Spanish cedar accents create a unique street presence.

Dominion Apartment by Geometrix Design
Geometrix Design have completed the interior design for this apartment in Moscow, Russia.
From the designers
We had to work with a very challenging open space that needed to be wisely dealt with.
The main customer’s desire (“no bare walls for further finishing”) was the basic source of inspiration for us. On the one hand, this allowed us putting a number of designer’s ideas into practice; on the other hand, we had to expertly balance combinations of materials, colors and textures, because any overbalance could play a mean trick on us.
This is how an attractive textured wall made of natural rock with customized sawing of elements took its place; the walls in the lobby and the living room were coated with alcantra panels; and the whole kitchen, including the cupboards fronts, was decorated with natural slate. Soft lighting flatters this kind of a kitchen and accentuates the texture of the rock.
However, it is the home theater that is the key emphasis in this interior. It’s not only a functional item necessary in a living room, but also a perfect art object. It’s geometric design, made according to our architects’ designs, arrests sights and astonishes with its functionality. In this context, the aesthetics of the idea doesn’t interfere with the purpose of function: the volume is not only an architectural technique, but also contains a huge storage system, each facet being a cabinet door hiding shelves and drawers.
In the bedroom, the geometry theme continues: the doors of the cabinets and the dresser are made under our architects’ designs. On the walls, there are panels made of cream nut solid wood, joining inclined to each other.
One of the most picturesque rooms is the children’s room: at one of the walls, there is a comfortable niche for reading surrounded by a storage system with openable doors. The light boxes are replaceable and the pictures can be changed depending on the age or favors of the child; now there is a Star Wars motif.
