House in Cape Town by Grobler Architects

Grobler Architects have completed a renovation and contemporary addition to a semi-detached listed Victorian cottage in the Gardens area in Cape Town, South Africa. Description Renovations to the cottage included conversion into a home office with guest suite. Period features and finishes were reinstated with new external timber doors, sash windows and shutters as well as new services, joinery and external landscaping. An existing 1970’s extension to the rear of the property was then demolished with a new 3-storey 190m2 contemporary addition to the existing cottage. Accommodation included a basement double garage and an open-plan ground floor with kitchen, dining & living areas leading onto a terrace with koi pond and indigenous planting. The master bedroom was located on the first floor with planted terrace, dressing room and master bathroom with private courtyard. Casa 3 at Colinas de Payandé by Arquitectura en Estudio and Natalia Heredia

Arquitectura en Estudio together with Natalia Heredia have designed Casa 3 at Colinas de Payandé. The casa is located in Villeta, a small town north of Bogotá, Colombia. Description 100km north of Bogotá lies the small town of Villeta, where this country house has been built. The ever-present warm weather, the dramatic landscapes and the greenery of the mountains have completely driven the design of the house, which intends to blur the boundaries between the exterior and the interior while framing the most beautiful views. You access the house via an open courtyard/garden through which you can see, at a glance, the whole span of the social areas of the house while being immediately drawn into the exuberance of the vegetation of the region. The interior living, dining and kitchen areas widely open towards the exterior swimming pool and deck areas, forming a very horizontal, open plan social space that spills into the landscape. Ferrari Verus Concept Car is a design study by Andrus Ciprian as a competitor for Lamborghini Veneno. The arrow shaped front is pretty similar to Veneno along with razor-sharp lines and precise surfaces. This concept car is equipped with a V12 engine that produces 780HP and HY-KERS technology electric motor system which can be found in LaFerrari model. Ferrari Verus brings the aerodynamic efficiency of a racing prototype to the road.
